Perrin R. Delorey, 10

Perrin Ryan Delorey of Westport died June 11 in Albany Medical Center. He was 10.

Perrin was born in New York City on March 18, 2010, the son of James C. Delorey and Angela H. Ryan. He was a fourth grade student at Greens Farms Elementary School in Westport.

He thrived in the communities around him, including Cub Scouts Pack 39, the Cubs of Westport Little League, Darien youth hockey, Westport Parks and Recreation basketball, and Westport School of Music, where he studied piano. 

Survivors in addition to his parents include his paternal grandparents David R. Delorey and his wife Candace, of Beverly, Massachusetts, and Christine Taillon and her husband Michael, of Boxford, Massachusetts, his maternal grandparents Catherine N. Ryan and William C. Ryan, of Westport, his uncle Andrew J. Delorey and aunt Gia (Tropeano) Delorey, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, his aunt Kara (Ryan) Sullivan and uncle Michael G. Sullivan, of Westport, and aunt Francesca Ryan, of New York, New York, his five cousins, Quinton, Eres, and Odin Delorey, and Curtis and Philip Sullivan.

The family will receive friends on Monday June 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Saint. Luke Church, 49 Turkey Hill Road North. Friends are invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday, June 19 at 10:a.m., meeting directly at Saint. Luke Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.

The Harding Funeral Home in Westport is assisting the family with the arrangements.

To remember Perrin, his family asks their loving friends to deepen their commitment to community and helping others. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Greater New York Councils – Boy Scouts of America and National Down Syndrome Society.
