The titles, from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers, are now available for instant streaming or temporary downloading to smart phones, tablets and computers, an announcement said.

Users can gain access without waits to titles like “The Office,” “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Pride & Prejudice” (2005), the soundtrack for “Frozen” (2013), “The Dark Side of the Moon,” and many more, the library said.

The service called Hoopla offers full-length streaming content. Users can borrow movies, videos and TV shows for three days, albums for seven days and audiobooks for 21 days, the announcement said.

These items are available with no waiting, and automatic returns eliminate late fees, it said. Users can check out up to six titles per month.

Award-winning independent films, shorts and documentaries are also available from the service IndieFlix.

User can watch as many films as they like from more than 2,000 film festivals around the world including Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca and SXSW.

These films are accessed through online streaming—no downloading or waiting in a queue. Watching the films directly supports the filmmakers, the library said.

To borrow items from either service, go to the westportlibrary.org homepage tab “Download movies & TV.”

Use your Westport Library card to quickly create accounts and gain free access to the entertainment choices.
