Learning How to Deal With Opioid Overdoses Image
There was a capacity crowd Thursday night at a Town Hall session to teach residents how to use Naloxone, better known as Narcan, in opioid overdose cases. Ellen Brezovsky (r), director of community relations at New Canaan’s Silver Hill Hospital, facilitated the session. Thirty participants received a free two-dose kit of Naloxone.The training was an effort of the Westport Prevention Coalition (a partnership of the Department of Human Services, Positive Directions and other Positive Youth Development partners) as well as Silver Hill and Progressive Diagnostics.
