While residing in Westport, she was the longtime secretary of the local chapter of P.E.O., a philanthropic organization which promotes the advancement of and provides educational opportunities for women.

She was an assistant registrar of voters in Westport for over a decade and was the bookkeeper for the family-owned business, Television Workshop, Inc. for many years.

She enjoyed boating, cooking, crocheting, reading and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need but what she loved more than anything was her family and precious grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Wayland R. Survivors include her grandchildren: Anneli Franklin (Joe), Brent Shook (Silvia), Rachel Antle (Jared), Ryan Shook (Chris), Julia Shook and Kyle Shook; and her great-grandchildren Sophie and Dorothy Franklin, Reed and Isabella Shook and Cyrus Antle.
