Board Votes to Declare Compo Mill Dog Dangerous Image
Three members of Westport’s Dangerous Dog Hearing Board—(l-r) Dr. Joan Poster, Susan Smith, and Ann Marie Flynn—today surveyed the Compo Mill Home of a dog neighbors petitioned to be declared dangerous because of involvement in fights with neighboring dogs and biting of an owner. The board later voted 2-1 to declare the dog dangerous, making it subject to strict restrictions, including that it be muzzled outside of its home or secure enclosure, and that a sign be erected warning of the presence of a dangerous dog.
