Westport Town Clerk Patricia Strauss announced today that the Town Clerk’s office will be open for absentee voting on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The application form is also available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as well as online by downloading here.
Registered voters can qualify for absentee ballots if: they are: in the armed forces; have an illness or physical disability; have religious beliefs that forbid secular activity on the day of the election; are working as an election official at polling places; or will be out of town during the hours of voting. Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, when the polls officially close.
