WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 5 Court of Oaks
An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 5 Court of Oaks, off Hickory Drive, off Morningside Drive North, is in process. Built in 1930, the two-story colonial has 1,400-square feet and is situated on a .36-acre property. Because the house was built more than 50 years ago, the application will be reviewed by the Westport Historic District Commission. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

In fact, closed sales are up from the first quarter of last year, and the median sale price is up by an impressive $200,000.
The current buyer activity is higher than we have seen for quite some time, and may possibly facilitate a nominal rise in property values.
Although the seasonal spring market is fueling part of this increase in activity, a mostly mild winter also gave us a wonderful base to start from, and a great head start on the season.
