Bad weather was forecast to move in Friday, the rain date for tonight’s event, and already a number of surrounding communiies have postponed their fireworks displays. Putting on a Show
One of the biggest crowd pleasers of tonight’s Compo Beach fireworks event was the New York City-based Marching Cobras who performed for the third successive year. Kevin Young, assistant director of Bands for Cobra Performing Arts, Inc. said the performers, ranging in ages from eight to 21, were from 10 schools across all five New York City boroughs and Westchester County.
