William M. Pasternak, 66

William M. Pasternak of Westport died Jan. 10 at the Westport Rehabilitation Complex. He was 66.

Born in Norwalk to the late Andrew and Mary Evans Pasternak, he had been a lifelong Westport resident and was a graduate of Staples High School where he played the trumpet in the school band.

He went on to be employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Westport and later Weston before retiring in 2010 after many years of dedicated service.

He enjoyed music, biking, hiking, and collecting stamps and coins. A loving and caring person, he spent many hours visiting the sick in Norwalk Hospital.

Back to Maintenance Work

After a day marked by high winds, heavy rain and fallen trees and branches on to power lines, these utility workers today returned to previously scheduled maintenance work. On Greens Farms Road, near Clapboard Hill, utility contractors install a bracing pole to support an adjoining utility pole that reinforces support for the power cables, according to a worker. During the process an alternating one-lane traffic pattern was in effect. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com
