Closing Out the BBQ Fest

Young guitar great, vocalist and entertainer Rick Derringer closed out the seventh annual Westport Blues, Views, and BBQ Festival tonight. He was just 17 when his band The McCoys recorded the No.1 hit “Hang On Sloopy” in the summer of 1965, knocking “Yesterday” by The Beatles out of the top spot. A young fan enjoys the music of Rick Derringer, guitarist, vocalist, Grammy Award winning producer and entertainer, as the last act tonight at the Blues, Views, and BBQ Festival in Westport.
