Incendio at Levitt

The new Levitt Pavilion tonight hosted the Incendio band as part of its shortened season of free nights of entertainment. Formed in the summer of 1999 by Jim Stubblefield, Jean-Pierre Durand and Liza Carbé, Incendio (which means “fire” in Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), became a vehicle for the influences and compositional talents of the three musicians. Jazz Brunch Set for Rive Bistro on Sunday

The Jazz Ensemble from Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County will be featured at a special Jazz Brunch on Sunday at Rive Bistro, 200 Riverside Ave. from noon to 2 p.m.

Eric Sierra, owner and chef, said he looks forward to welcoming the musicians on the restaurant patio overlooking the Saugatuck River. For reservations, phone (203)557-8049.

Neighborhood Studios is a not-for-profit school of the arts headquartered in Bridgeport, which has provided arts enrichment for the children of Bridgeport for more than 30 years.

Senor Salsa, a fresh Mexican Grill, will open soon at 221 Post Road West in the Westbank Center. Owner Garry Dean operates the popular Senor Salsa at 580 Post Road, Fairfield. The space which has been unoccupied for about 10 years, according to a Realtor, was the former location of several restaurants including Connelly’s, Artists Pub, and Divine Mediterranean Grill. An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 15 Old Orchard Road, off Maple Avenue North, is in process. Built in 1940, the 1-1/2 story cape has 2,046-square feet and is situated on a .50-acre property.
