An application for a permit to demolish the house at Westport’s 305 Compo Road South is in process. Built in 1961, the two-story custom colonial has 4,652 square feet and is situated on a 1.37-acre property. With Westporters’ Help, Urban Farm Opens in Bridgeport

Westport-based Green Village Initiative (GVI) today held the grand opening in Bridgeport of the Reservoir Community Farm, a 1.5-acre urban farm located at 1469 Reservoir Ave. in the northern section of the city. Mayor Bill Finch (l) was on hand with Westporters Monique Bosch and Dan Levinson, founder of GVI. The event inaugurated the farm’s weekly farm stand and celebrated its first harvest, which includes more than 1,000 heads of local, organic lettuce delivered to Bridgeport public school cafeterias.
