Levitt Performance Moved Indoors

Due to the weather forecast for this evening, the Levitt Pavilion performance by Eight to the Bar will move indoors to Saugatuck Elementary School’s air-conditioned auditorium, 170 Riverside Ave.  Show time is 7 p.m.

Built in 1961, the two-story custom colonial has 4,652 square feet and is situated on a 1.37-acre property. With Westporters’ Help, Urban Farm Opens in Bridgeport Image
Westport-based Green Village Initiative (GVI) today held the grand opening in Bridgeport of the Reservoir Community Farm, a 1.5-acre urban farm located at 1469 Reservoir Ave. in the northern section of the city. Mayor Bill Finch (l) was on hand with Westporters Monique Bosch and Dan Levinson, founder of GVI. The event inaugurated the farm’s weekly farm stand and celebrated its first harvest, which includes more than 1,000 heads of local, organic lettuce delivered to Bridgeport public school cafeterias. Westport-based GVI led creation of the farm which will serve Bridgeport public schools and also provide farm produce to be sold at affordable pricing to the local community through a farm stand and wholesale to local restaurants.
