The Westport Public Works Department said milling road work will continue Monday on North Avenue starting south of the Bedford Middle School entrance. Many Gault Avenue area residents stopped by for the 12th annual Halloween lawn party today at the residence of Keith and Kari Kaplan on Sandhopper Trail and many took souvenir photos. “We’re holding the party earlier in the day this year because tomorrow’s a school day,” said Keith Kapan. He said it’s the fifth year in a row that they had the Big Green Truck of New Haven on site to prepare “an unlimited supply of pizza” for all the guests. Historical Society Hosting Green Halloween
The Westport Historical Society invites Westporters to celebrate a Green Halloween today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Healthy snacks will be offered in a eco-conscious decor environment and activities will include a bouncing house and break dancing for the kids. Final Curtain Call for “The Diary of Anne Frank”
The Westport Country Playhouse tonight closed out its 2010 season with the final curtain call of “The Diary of Anne Frank.” An almost sold-out audience gave the cast a standing ovation. The 2011 season opens in April with “Beyond Therapy,” written by comic master Christopher Durang and directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando.
