WestportNow Teardown of the Day: 154 Easton Road

154 Easton Road, Westport, CT 06880
An application for a permit to demolish the house at 154 Easton Road is in the works. Built in 1925, the 1,327-square-foot, one-story ranch is located on a one-acre lot. Because the house is more than 50 years old, the application is on the Historic District Commission meeting agenda for the next session. The property changed hands in July 2006 for $750,000. Unexpected Back Yard Visitors Image
A homeowner on Westport’s High Point Road had some unexpected back yard visitors today—Westport firefighters who responded when a pool heater caught fire in today’s 90-degree heat. The firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and perhaps wished they could take a dip in the pool before heading back to their engines. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for
