Members of The Y’s Men of Westport Weston were treated today to a delightful presentation of a wide variety of poems by Frank Hall, the senior minister at the Unitarian Church in Westport. Hall’s enthusiasm and evident love of poetry were conveyed to the audience in his animated recitation of poems, some familiar and others not as well known. His prodigious memory amazed everyone as he explained that he can recall poems that he has read or heard only once. The presentation included poems by Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Mary Oliver, Carl Sandburg, e. e. cummings and other poets. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Larry Untermeyer for WestportNow.com
