Westport’s Tom Harding , 41, was first to cross the finish line in today’s Minuteman 10K competition. His time was 9 seconds slower than last year when he placed second. Moments after crossing the finish line, Harding said, “I started out with a slow pace and then picked it up through the race. I wanted to run fast enough to win, but I didn’t want to kill myself trying to do it.”  Harding said he has run in this annual race for at least 10 years.
