The property was featured as WestportNow’s teardown on Nov. 16, 2004. One of eight pieces that make up the modular home gets hoisted into place. The Staples boys soccer team had a unique fund-raising event Friday night in the Staples gymnasium: quiz night. For eight rounds, teams of four answered a variety of questions with topics ranging from sports to geography. The winning team consisted of varsity soccer coach Dan Woog and the rest of the Staples soccer coaching staff. The Staples soccer team decided to donate a portion of the money raised at the event to the American Red Cross Katrina Relief Fund, with the rest going towards Staples soccer. First Selectman Candidates Meet in News-12 Debate Image
The candidates for Westport first selectman, Republican John Izzo (2nd l) and Democrat Gordon Joseloff (r) met again today, this time in a televised debate at Cablevision News-12 moderated by Tom Appleby (l).
