Police Investigate Suspicious Vehicle, Warn Parents

UPDATE The Westport Police Department said today it is investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint that occurred on South Compo Road Sunday and urged parents to remind their children of the importance of not speaking to strangers.

A police news release said two young females were approached by a male driving a navy blue vehicle on South Compo Road near Park Lane Sunday at about 3:45 p.m.

The man asked them if they wanted a ride. The girls said “no” and then ran from the area while observing the vehicle heading south on South Compo Road, police said.
