“Hot ‘n Cole” celebrates the life of one of the great songwriting masters in American musical history. The revue includes fresh arrangements and contemporary twists on 48 Cole Porter standards, including “You’re the Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Night and Day,” ”I Love Paris,” “Anything Goes,” “Just One of Those Things” and “In the Still of the Night.”

From Broadway and regional theater to television and films, Naughton has won critical acclaim in dramas, comedies and musicals.

He is the winner of two Tony Awards as Best Actor in a Musical, for his portrayal of media-savvy lawyer Billy Flynn in the Broadway hit “Chicago” (1997) and for his role as a film-noir era detective in “City of Angels” (1990), which also earned him a Drama Desk Award.

Westport Firefighters Douse Chimney Fire

WestportNow.com Image
Westport firefighters today quickly extinguished a chimney fire at 2 Sherwood Farms Lane off of Greens Farms Road. Burning paper caused flames to shoot up the chimney, causing heavy smoke and charring a piece of paper-backed fiberglass insulation next to a metal chimney pipe in the attic. Assistant Chief Robert Kepchar reminded residents not to dispose of paper or cardboard in a fireplace and have the chimney cleaned regularly by a professional. Results Delayed in Norwalk Policeman’s Death

UPDATE Autopsy results on the body of a Norwalk police officer who died of a gunshot wound are not likely to be available for weeks, a spokeswoman for the state’s medical examiner said today.

She said conclusive results about the circumstances under which Matthew Morelli, 38, died are pending until more studies are concluded.

What at first seemed like a case of a Norwalk police officer brutally slain on duty progressively turned into a tragedy with more questions than answers.

Morelli, who grew up in Weston and volunteered for a time as an EMT in Westport, was found shot to death early Friday in South Norwalk after radioing that he was investigating suspicious activity. (See WestportNow March 21, 2008)
