Frank H. Ambrose, 69

Frank H. Ambrose of Norwalk, a longtime resident of Westport, died Dec. 27, 2016 at the VA Hospital in West Haven. He was 69.

He was born in Norwalk on Sept. 10, 1947 and was the son of the late Franklin and Adele (Stulas) Ambrose. He was a U.S .Army veteran and served proudly during Vietnam.

He was a longtime member of the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399, the Vietnam Veterans of America No. 251 and the 1st Calvary Division of Connecticut.

He is survived by one daughter, Paula Kawal of Washington, and two grandchildren, Sebastian and Chloe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Charles S. Ambrose.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 1:15 p.m. in Assumption Cemetery, 73 Greens Farms Road, with full military honors.

The family will receive friends following the service from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399, 465 Riverside Ave.
