Edward M. Boucher of Westport died March 16 at home. He was 71.
Born Feb. 2, 1946 in Bridgeport, he was the son of Edward and Ruth (Inks) Boucher.
A lifelong resident of the Westport/Weston area and a 1963 graduate of Staples High School, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Alliance College and then a law degree from the University of Bridgeport.
He worked at the Westport Bank & Trust Co. for many years before starting his career in law. Since his retirement, he has been a longtime employee at the Westport Barnes & Noble bookstore.
He was a Mason and a member at Temple Lodge in Westport, an avid reader and rock hound.
He is survived by one brother, Martin I. Boucher of Trumbull, one sister, Jean B. Daniels and her husband Tom of Norwalk, and one niece, Victoria Helwig. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Edith Gorman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 7 p.m.
