Westport’s MediaReach has been retained to represent the video advertising network at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.
The deal was announced today by Robert Harris, chairman of MediaReach and Myles McGrane, vice president operations, Javits Convention Center.
Under this initial agreement, MediaReach will assist the Javits Advertising Sales Department in selling time on the network for the 2004 New York International Auto Show.
An estimated 1.3 million visitors are expected to attend the auto show during its 10-day run from April 9 through April 18.
The focal point of the Javits Video Advertising Network is its 600 sq. ft. state-of-the-art, full-motion LED video screen.
This giant screen is suspended above the Crystal Palace/main lobby of the center. The network also includes 50 TV monitors in high-traffic areas (food courts, escalators, etc.) through four levels of the center.
“This network affords an efficient, highly targeted advertising platform delivering dynamic messages to potential auto buyers in the nation’s largest market,” said Adam Bleibtreu, vice president, advertiser sales for MediaReach.
MediaReach, located at 274 Riverside Ave., was founded in 2003 by a team of senior media executives with long experience in both traditional and new media.
Harris is a former vice president of broadband strategy for America Online.
At AOL, he was responsible for the development and implementation of AOL’s broadband content and connectivity, as well as strategic planning related to the company’s initiatives in the online distribution of digital media.
