A Westport woman who had been arrested multiple times for trespassing on a Beachside Avenue property, claiming she has a right to be there, was arrested again Saturday, police said today.

Virginia Abbotts, 58, of 10 Mills St. was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree breach of peace, plus the charges of first-degree criminal trespass and violations of conditions of release stemming from a previous incident and two counts of failure to appear.

“She’s been arrested multiple times for the same things,” said Capt. Vincent Penna. “She believes she has a right to be there.”

Held in lieu of $7,000 bond, Abbotts is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
