The Westport Parks and Recreation Department announced today that effective immediately all beaches are open for swimming.
Compo Beach will have lifeguard service weekdays and weekends through Labor Day. Lifeguard services may be reduced based on availability of staff.
Burying Hill Beach will have no lifeguards on duty on weekdays. Burying Hill Beach will be staffed on the weekends through Labor Day.
“All patrons and particularly those with small children should swim where lifeguards are present,” said Parks & Recreation Department Operations Supervisor Dan DeVito.
