Prize-winning photojournalists and Westport Staples High School graduates Lynsey Addario and Spencer Platt addressed a packed Westport Arts Center audience today where Addario’s photographs of women in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan are on display in an exhibit, “On The Wire: Veiled Rebellion.” Both recounted their experiences in overseas war zones and remote areas with Platt noting that with today’s iPhone and mini-digital cameras that story-telling photography is rapidly changing. “We’re drowning in a sea of imagery,” he said.  The discussion was moderated by Helen Klisser During (r), director of visual arts at the Center who also curated Addario’s exhibit.
