According to Lt. David Farrell, Christopher Flint, 44, was arrested on Monday on an outstanding warrant for the incident that took place on Dec. 3.

Video surveillance captured Flint placing items in the cart and leaving the superstore at 1790 Post Road East without paying.

“Flint was positively identified by Fairfield Police officers who viewed the video footage and are familiar with Flint as he has committed larcenies in their town,” Farrell said.

Charged with sixth-degree larceny, Flint was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Feb. 11.
