U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays today (r) presented awards for the 4th Congressional District’s 2007 Congressional Art Competition at a ceremony at the Westport Arts Center. Kylie Collins (c), a senior at Westport’s Staples High School, won with her pastel drawing “Purple Man.” They were joined by Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff. The work by Collins will hang in the passageway between the House office buildings and the U.S. Capitol for one year. Another Staples student, Sarah Moss, received one of two runners-up awards, for her self-portrait, “Power.” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Emily Hamilton Laux for WestportNow.com
