She was born on June 2, 1945 in New York City to David Kasson and Helen Weinbaum Kasson. She was raised in Westport and attended Staples High School, but graduated in White Fish Bay, Wisc. She attended Johnson State Teacher’s College in Vermont.

A Westport resident until 1979, she resided in Delray Beach for the past 19 years where she enjoyed a thriving career of addictions counseling. Her practice touched hundreds of local lives over the years as she assisted in helping her clients find sobriety. Some of her past employers include The Wayside House, Beachway Therapy Center, and The Beachcomber.

In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to the beach, and reading.

She is survived by her children, Helen Stefan Moreau, daughter, son in law Francois Moreau, of Chevy Chase, Md., David Stefan, son, of Arlington, Va., and two grandchildren, William Jacques Moreau and Victoria Stanlie Moreau of Chevy Chase.

A service in her honor will take place on Friday, June 27, at 5 p.m. at the Unity Church in Delray Beach.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The City House (https://theacdelray.ccbchurch.com/form_response.php?id=16) of Delray Beach and the Prevent Cancer Foundation (http://preventcancer.org/donate/).
