Raymond H. Lewis, 75

Raymond H. Lewis, 75, a native of Westport and husband of Patricia Dondero Lewis, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25 in Bridgeport Hospital.

Mr. Lewis was born at home in Westport, July 19, 1933, son of the late Elmer and Hazel (Blake) Lewis and has been a lifelong resident.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Lewis was employed as a mason in the construction industry. He is a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and a lifelong member of the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399. He also enjoyed playing golf at Longshore Golf Course.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 50 years include, one daughter, Lisa Setian and her husband Steven of Longmeadow, Mass., and two sons, Vernon J. Lewis and his wife Lynn of Trumbull, and Steven J. Lewis of Stratford; one sister, Virginia Amato of Norwalk, and five grandchildren, Christopher, Cassidy, Taylor, Jeremy and Melony. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was also predeceased by two brothers, Elmer and Bill Lewis.

The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Monday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, 11 a.m. in the Harding Funeral Home with the Rev. John H. Branson III, officiating.

Interment with full military honors will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Lewis may be made to the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, 267Grant St. Bridgeport, CT 06610.
