UPDATE A carjacking and reports of shots fired on I-95 in Greenwich tonight caused a massive traffic jam southbound on the roadway and the shutdown of New Haven Line service for about half an hour, according to reports from the scene.

Metro-North said at 6:30 p.m. that service between Port Chester and Greenwich had resumed after being suspended at about 6 p.m. because of the police activity.
The Department of Transportation said the left and center lanes southbound between Exits 3 and 2 remained closed at 6:54 p.m. Traffic was backed up to Exit 13.
Reports from the area said two men and a woman were involved in a carjacking in Bridgeport and crashed by exit 2 on I-95 southbound in Greenwich.
The suspects were in custody with several firearms seized, police said. One person was taken to Greenwich Hospital.
The reports did not make clear whether those involved were suspects or whether one was a victim.
