Workers today remove a window from the house at 5 Juniper Road, which is undergoing a descontruction prior to a renovation. Homeowners Jim Conboy and Michele Lamothe hired North Haven-based New England ReUse for the job. This is the company that performed the deconstruction of Geiger’s Garden Center at Morningside Drive North. The rebuilt house will have 3,000 square feet and be ready in early 2017. According to Conboy, the four components remaining are the foundation, floor, walls and framing. “We are the first customer of our own dismantled components—we are reusing rafters 2 inches by 8 inches and several feet in length as the roof over our master bedroom,” he said.
