Officer Down

WestportNow.com Image
A 24-year-old female Bridgeport police officer biking on a charity ride with 20 other Bridgeport officers on Westport’s Post Road East today was injured when she apparently hit a bump and flew over the handlebars. Westport EMS transported her to St. Vincent’s Hospital following the 11 a.m. accident in front of 1351 Post Road East near Morningside Drive. There was no word on her condition. First,  I hope she is ok,

Now a question, was this a section of road the crack CLP team has patched,  There are many sections of the post road they have patched that could use another patching job done.

Will you give us an update about how the officer is doing?  Thanks.  I too hope she’s fine.

This is the second bike vs. pothole incident in town reported by Westport Now where the pothole won. Maybe before this costing us (taxpayers) a bunch of money we should have a website to report potholes and rough patches of road.
