The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that a week-long nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in Westport, northbound and southbound, beginning Wednesday.
The project consists of bridge maintenance to the I-95 bridge at Hillspoint Road. It is scheduled to occur from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday to the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 14.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Mohawk Northeast, an announcement said.
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 northbound and southbound between Exits 17 and Exit 18, the DOT said.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, the department said.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

Isn’t really the Hillspoint Road bridge over I-95 rather than the “I-95 bridge over Hillspoint Road’?
