A Bridgeport man stopped for motor vehicle violations turned out to be wanted for four separate probation warrants from previous arrests in other jurisdictions, Westport Police said today.
Police stopped Antonio Funicello, 30, of 143 Ruth St. Monday morning for operating an unregistered vehicle, misuse of plates, no insurance and a suspended license.
It was then discovered that Funicello had outstanding warrants, police said.
He is being held in lieu of a $200,000 court-ordered bond plus $500 for the motor vehicle charges. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Tuesday, July 29, police said.
