Born in California on May 31, 1953, to Charles C. and Ruth Bell Ferguson, he was a twin with brother Michael.

Many Westporters knew him as a longtime employee at the Westport CVS on Post Road East where he worked in the photo department. He was also a meditation teacher and healing guide.

An obituary submitted by a family member said: “Mitchell’s passing on July 5, 2016, in Norwalk, was very sudden and may have been uncomfortable for just a few minutes.  A peaceful passing in support of his peaceful life.

“Mitchell was an amazing person. Although, he did not have a lot of superficial resources, his heart was always full of bliss. He gave that bliss away to whomever he came in contact with, never diminishing his own bliss.

“He rarely asked for help, but always wanted to help others. His fulfilled life should be an inspiration to all of us who get wrapped up in the drama of temporary accomplishments.”

He is survived by brothers Michael and Charles, and a sister, Debby.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. at Christ & Holy Trinity Church, 75 Myrtle Ave.  Please Call 203-912-3385.  Online memorial: http://www.forevermissed.com/mitchell-g-ferguson.
