Metro-North Reports Ticket Machine Snafu

Metro-North said today that ticket machines at all stations excluding Grand Central Terminal continue to not accept credit or debit for ticket purchases.

It advised travelers to purchase your ticket at the station or on board the train using cash.

The machines obviously need to be maintained better. But, more importantly, with no counter ticket sales, we need more machines and they should be located at the opposite end of the station to break up the lines.

“It advised travelers to purchase your ticket at the station or on board the train using cash.”  Wonder if they are going to still stick you with the fee for cash on board the train too? believe it is $7 extra buying on the train!

According to the Commuter Council,  they waived the onboard penalties.
