Marie Albin Davis of Raleigh, N.C., a former employee of radio station WMMM in Westport, died Dec. 27 at Capital Nursing in Raleigh, N.C. She was 97.
She was born April 21, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., one of five children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Albin.
A business college graduate, she was an accountant and office manager for radio station WMMM in Westport, which was on the air from 1959 to 1997.
She was a gifted Bible teacher, counselor, and friend to both children and adults for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin A. Davis, a retired Connecticut state trooper and detective, and also her daughter Dale Marie Tillotson of Westport.
She is survived by her son, Albin C. Davis and wife, Diana of Unity, Maine, and her daughter, Wendy L. Wotring and husband Mark of Raleigh. Her survivors include seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends in Unity, Maine this summer. Online Condolences at CremationSocietyNC.com.
