Long Line for BMS Dropoff

WestportNow.com Image
A Bedford Middle School parent said he was stuck in a long line today while trying to drop off his youngster at school. “After receiving a letter from (Superintendent of Schools) Elliott Landon yesterday afternoon promising all roads had been cleared for our school buses, I certainly did not expect to be stuck in traffic for 45 minutes while dropping my child off at school,” he said in an email to WestportNow. ”I was told that TWO buses had gotten stuck in the snow.  Here, you can see several children hopping out of their cars and walking the rest of the way while buses try to use the exit lane to drop children off. What a mess!!! An extra thank you should be given to the poor police officer directing traffic and standing out in the cold all that time for something we had been told was taken care of!” (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
