That’s why it has scheduled its “Carnivale 2004!” night Friday, Feb. 27 at the Inn at Longshore.
Described as a “true New Orleans-style Mardi Gras celebration,” the event will star four-time Grammy Award nominee Buckwheat Zydeco.
It will include a “hurricane” bar, champagne and hors doeuvres reception, ongoing dinner buffet and open bar, music and dancing, and silent and live auctions.
Proceeds from the evening will help to underwrite the more than 50 nights of free entertainment planned for the PavilionҒs forthcoming 31st summer season.
Silent and live auction prizes include European and stateside getaways, ski weekends, jewelry, tickets to major sporting and entertainment events, spa treatments for him and for her, and baskets of gifts, wines and edibles.
Freda Welsh, executive director of the Pavilion, said sponsorship opportunities are still available at all levels.
For more information about “Carnivale 2004!” sponsorship opportunities, to donate a prize, to receive an invitation, or to purchase a ticket (priced at $125 each), contact the Pavilion office at 226-7600.
