Leon H. Zeff of Oakland, Calif, a former Westport resident, died Feb. 22 in Oakland of complications of Parkinson ‘s disease. He was 90.
He was born and raised in St. Paul, Minn, a son of Jennie and Abe Zeff. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp, and served in India and Burma.
He earned a B.A and M.A. from New York University and a doctorate in psychology from Adelphi University.
He is survived by sons Carl Douglass, Jonathan S. and Joshua Adam Zeff, grandchildren Jennifer Chan and Daren Chan, and his wife of 67 years, Norma Eisendorf.
At his request, there will be no service. The family invites friends to visit at home on Sunday, Feb. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Southern Poverty Law Center or Doctors Without Borders in his honor.
