Large Turnout for Zeevi Memorial Concert Image
A large audience today attended a memorial concert at the Unitarian Church in honor of Yekutiel Zeevi, the Westport jeweler slain in a robbery last December. The chamber music concert was performed by the faculty of the Westport-based Connecticut School of Music whose founder, Kenneth Kuo, presided over the event. Kuo met Zeevi when he was 12 and their friendship later led to his founding of the music school in Westport. The concert included a rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner,” written and performed by Samuel Post of the school. “Kuti loved America and lived the American dream,” Kuo said, referring to Zeevi by his nickname.
