Isabel Ziobro Bishop of Shelton and formerly of Southport, wife of the late Stephen Bishop, died April 20. She was 91.
She was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Frances Ziobro, and was a lifelong area resident. A U.S. Navy veteran, she served during World War II in the WAVES unit. She was a bookkeeper for many years at Zamary’s market in Southport. Her favorite pastime was visiting with her family.
She is survived by her children, Frederick Bishop of Fairfield and Thea Osseiran and her husband, Ed Picard of Westport; also by her grandson, Stephen Osseiran of Westport; her brother, Raymond Ziobro of Southport; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her a brother and four sisters.
