Ira L. Kasindorf, 85

Ira L. Kasindorf of Westport died Jan. 25 at New York University Medical Center. He was 85.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Herman and Bessie Kasindorf, he was a U. S. Army veteran who served during World War II.

Kasindorf was a member of the Weston Commission on Aging, and served on the board of the League of Women Voters in Weston.

He was predeceased by his wife, Stella Sobelman Kasindorf, in 2004.

Kasindord is survived by his sons, Barry Kasindorf of Franklin, Mass., and Mark Kasindorf of Quincy, Mass.; his sister, Anita Tolin of Barrington, Ill.; and his grandchildren, Alan and Evan.

Services took place Jan. 28 from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield; interment followed at Beth El Cemetery in Paramus, N.J.
