The owners of the house at 28 Compo Road North are the newest recipients of a Westport Historical Society (WHS) historical plaque. Bob Weingarten, WHS plaque historian, presented the plaque to Josh and Jane Moritz, who moved into the house, known as the Elizabeth Groman House c. 1899, in November. According to Weingarten, the house was built by Elizabeth Gorman in c.1899 after purchasing the property from Mary Fitch Page Winslow, second wife of Richard Winslow, in 1891. Josh Moritz said he and his wife, Westport residents for 17 years, downsized from their former house on Willow Walk, off North Avenue.
