Getting Ready for “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” Image
Sixth graders in Westport’s Bedford Middle School Bedford Acting Group are getting set for their production this weekend of Roald Dahl’s classic story “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” A cast of more than 100 students has been working since February preparing for the four performances on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 with children 3 and under admitted free. Bedford Acting Group was awesome tonight! A round of applause to everyone: actors, director, stage manager, props and set design, and everyone else! Amazing job!

Rumor has it that Stamford resident Gene Wilder, who played “Willy Wonka”  in the original film, was in the audience at tonight’s performance. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
