Gertrude G. Cooper, 93

Gertrude (Gitty) Greenberg Cooper died Dec. 29 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. She was 93.

Born in Quincy, Mass., she led a rich and fulfilling life with her loving husband Saul Cooper who predeceased her.

She is survived by her children, Paul and Roberta Cooper of Westport, Philip and Donna Cooper of Nashua, N.H., and Gail and Mark Koren of Riverside, Calif.

She leaves a legacy of love and caring to her six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Paul and Roberta Cooper in Westport on Sunday, Jan. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Shiva Minyan at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield.
