Fairfield County Green Drinks Sets Longshore Event Oct. 10

Fairfield County Green Drinks will host a social networking event on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Splash Restaurant at Westport’s Longshore Club Park.

“Our aim is to promote green living and business in Connecticut and to bring our state to the foreground of a national movement toward sustainability,” said Heather Burns-DeMelo, founder of CT GreenScene, which describes itself as an online community clearinghouse of local environmental information.

Bob Wall, director of market initiatives for the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, will speak about simple and clean energy options available to residents and businesses in Connecticut, a news release said.

The suggested donation is $10 with monies going to support local environmental organizations.
