A license plate that fell off a vehicle involved in a hit and run early Thursday resulted in the arrest of a Norwalk man, police said today.
Chris Troy, 25, was arrested at his residence following the incident at about 12:50 a.m. in the area of Post Road West and Wilton Road.
Responding officers quickly determined that there were no injuries and the suspect vehicle fled the scene, leaving the license plate behind, said Lt. Eric Woods.
It was traced to Troy who was transported to Westport police headquarters where he was charged with evading responsibility and failure to obey a control signal, Woods said.
He was released on $1,500 bond for a Thursday, Sept. 1 court appearance, police said.
