WestportNow.com Image
A construction worker suffered non life-threatening injuries today when he fell off scaffolding at a swimming pool under construction on Westport’s Bonnie Brook Road. The worker fell off scaffolding while using a “shotcrete hose”to build up the sides of the swimming pool with a cement mix, said Assistant Fire Chief Larry Conklin.  Westport fire, police and Emergency Medical Services stabilized the worker and treated his immediate injuries on the scene before he was transported to Norwalk Hospital, he said. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sent an investigator to the scene, Conklin said. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Contributed photo
