NEAT Coffee and Craft Cocktails will open in August at Westport’s 6 Wilton Road, the former firehouse that is a part of the National Hall redevelopment, according to Bobby Werhane, owner of Experience Hospitality, with whom NEAT has partnered. According to Rowayton resident and owner Rachel Haughey, the Westport location is “a concept collaboration that will combine excellent offerings to serve both daytime and evening audiences—a coffee shop by day and a cocktail bar by night.” The former hedge fund analyst opened the original Espresso NEAT at 20 Grove St, Darien, in August 2009. Westport hours will be 7 a.m. until midnight. (CLICK TO ENLARGE) Dave Matlow for WestportNow.com

Quite the change from when this was the Westport Emergency Shelter, opened on Christmas Eve 1984.
My office (from 1988 until the move to the Gillespie Center) was on the 2nd floor, window on the right as you look at it.
